This project was about recreating a painting. I did that with my sister, making her hair look like the girl's in the painting, and also, creating flowers to recreate the chrysanthemums, and a grey dress like the girl. If I was to do this project again, I would play more with lighting to try and match the shadows better to make it look more like the painting.
The hardest part about this project was to get the shadows right. Which I didn't exactly do. I was too focused on trying to match the back shadow that I didn't work on the shadow from the flowers, as there should've been none. Also trying to get a willing participant was hard as my sister was not very happy about her hair being brushed backwards in order to puff it up and make it look more like the girl's in the painting. That was one of the hardest things to recreate. And even with all the work I put into her hair, it didn't turn out as hoped. We had to stuff her sleeves with shirts in order to make them look more puffed. But, the dress was too tight so the sleeves wouldn't puff up very much. The flowers were made of some tissue paper that we happened to have in our room taped onto pencils.
